Kai & Ingrid go to Paris

T - 1

Before I had kids, I always dreamed of taking them with me on one of my trips, work or otherwise. They have been to Denmark, but were pretty young then (5 and 3 - Kai and Kirsten) and don't really remember it. They have been to Seattle (to visit my sister and her family) countless times, and Kirsten went to St. Croix with me last year (for my friend's wedding). Kai went to Switzerland with me to visit our friends in Lugano when he was 7, that was a great trip and he remembers more from it.

Now, the day has come when his 5th grade class at his French Immersion school, Maryvale, goes to Paris. 10 kids are going, each accompanied by a parent or guardian. The kids will spend the first few days with a host family in the Paris suburbs (Brétigny sur Orge) while us parents stay at a B&B closer to Paris (Hotel Croix de Malte). Kai is very excited about meeting his "new" family - they have a son, Hugo (12), a daughter, Lou-Anne (7), and various animals (dog, cats, rabbits). Kai will be keeping a journal and taking pics, so hopefully we will be able to add some of his own perspective to the blog.
